AE As, 8.51g.  21mm. c.145-125 B.C. magistrate: Pasikrates.  Laureate head of Apollo to right.  Rev. Homer seated to left holding a scroll.  Milne 185.  Dark brown patina.

Smyrna is one of several cities that claimed to be the birthplace of Homer.
