AV stater, 5.93g. 18mm. Uncertain ruler, c.55-50 B.C. Early Whaddon Chase type with rounded wing. Abstracted head of Apollo with wreath; two rounded wings above; uncertain ornaments below. Rev. Horse galloping to right; S and wing above; eye to right and shield below. Van Arsdell 1476. Mack 135. Hairline flan crack at 2:00 obverse. Excellent strike with luster under toning and an important pedigree.
