
Ancient Coins: CELTIC GOLD: Celtic Gaul, Abrincatui

Billon stater, 6.61g. 22mm. c.100-50 B.C. Stylized head to right with long curls; small stylized head in front with spiked crown. Rev. Horse to right; lyre-shaped object below flanked by two small radiate discs; standard with boar's bristles above. DT 2281. Fleische_. Some small red deposits. Exceptional quality with the full small head visible on the obverse and excellent metal quality. This is among the finest known examples.
