AR "New Style" Tetradrachm, 16.96g. 33mm. c.165-150 B.C. Head of Athena to right wearing crested helmet decorated with Pegasus. Rev. Owl standing and facing on overturned amphora; monograms of magistrates to left and right(possibly Gorgoinos and Metrodorus); grain ear below. Thompson 50. Edge ding and hairline flan crack at 11:00 obverse. Scarce early issue prior to the introduction of explicit magistrate names and control letters on the amphora.
